Roundaboot, SLUTRACK’s lead singer, will tell Unfettered Letters more about his group’s third album in an upcoming interview, generously excerpted by permission from RetroRag magazine. Among other things, he says: "….I threw up four times on the way to the studio. Once, it was a lot of carrots, and crap I hadn’t even known I ate. I usually don’t eat vegetables, or anything not synthetic – I don’t think I have had an apple or pear or anything remotely natural since like 1979, year of My Sharona, when I had half of a Tiger’s Milk bar. And there was a license plate in there too – in my vomit, you know – strange, that. Anyhoo, there was also this very dog-eared Mickey Mantle card in my third expellation of the day, and I traded it to MilkDud (SLUTRACK’s drummer) for three yellow pills and a crazy straw. That’s how we came up with the song Vomit Trade. It’s about how everything in this fucking world is commercialized and commodified – even our own vomit. And I’m as guilty as the next guy – a victim of the system. My vomit belongs to the marketplace."
