Borsch Belt Comedy Moment: “The economy is so bad…”

For this series, the Unfettered Borsch Belt Comedy Moment, we asked a bunch of veteran stand-up comedians from the era of the Catskills and the Poconos and of "no one puts the Jew girl in the corner" days gone by to give us some great lines about TODAY’s breaking events, not stuff that was happening when like Mort Sahl was the up and coming kid. Baaaaruuuunmph. Hello. Is this thing on? up and coming kid? Up first is Drecky Birnbaum, who opened for Tony Bennett at the Copa in 1962. Take it away Drecky:
"How bad are things out there? Wow, I’ll tell you. The economy is so bad….my younger daughter just installed one of those things where you have to slide your card and punch in your digits on her COOCH! HER COOCH! My son-in-law, the fuck-kaktah accountant, forgot his PIN # and couldn’t get off for three hours! She wouldn’t take credit – only debit! When he got his kischkes in an uproar about the box on her box, she told him to use his Gold card and he’d get 75 frequent-fucker blow-job points! After he came once, she said, ‘slide your card through again, it didn’t register the first time!’ Boom goes Hiroshima! Thank you and goodnight, folks!"
